Event Terms and Conditions
Ticket
bookings and admission
1) In order to confirm any
event ticket booking, payment must be made in one instalment
for the total ticket amount, prior to entry into the event.
If payment has not been made, access to the event will not
be permitted.
2) Tickets must be checked immediately on receipt to ensure
the accuracy of the information contained thereon, as tickets
cannot be refunded after their purchase, unless the event
is cancelled.
3) A valid ticket must be produced to enter the event. The
ticket must be complete, any removal of the ticket stub
will invalidate the ticket and entry into the venue will
be denied. Photocopies or any other form of reproduction
will not be accepted.
4) The re-sale of a ticket for commercial gain without express
permission from the venue will invalidate this ticket. Customers
should be aware that tickets sold from unofficial sources
may not be valid.
5) It is illegal to smoke inside the premises. Anyone found
smoking will be asked to leave the premises and will not
be allowed to return. There will be no refund in this case.
6) We reserve the right to conduct security searches prior
to entry and refuse admission. We reserve the right to refuse
admission to, or eject anyone who, refuses to be searched,
is in possession of any alcohol or illegal substances or,
in our reasonable opinion, admission to the venue might
risk the safety of any other visitor or himself, or affect
the enjoyment of the event for other visitors or the running
of the event (for example if the holder appears to be under
the influence of drugs or is acting aggressively or anti-socially).
No refunds will be offered to ticket holders in these circumstances.
7) Visitors to the venue must comply with all licensing,
health and safety and other regulations relating to the
venue. Visitors must familiarise themselves with the location
of the fire exits. We reserve the right to eject the ticket
holder if these regulations are not complied with. No refunds
will be offered to ticket holders in these circumstances.
8) No dangerous or hazardous items may be brought into the
venue. We reserve to right to refuse entry, or eject, any
visitor in these circumstances.
9) No food, beverages (including alcohol) or illegal substances
may be brought into the venue. Only food and drink purchased
at the venue may be consumed.We reserve to right to refuse
entry to, or eject, the ticket holder if they are found
to be carrying any of the aforementioned items.
10) As visitors to the venue, ticket holders consent to
being photographed, filmed and/or sound recorded for broadcast
and/or publication, without payment.
11) Visitors to the Qdos bar must be over the age of 18.
Entry to the event may be refused if the ticket holder cannot
provide suitable proof of age. Refunds will not be offered
in these circumstances.
12) The Hand Arena reserves the right to cancel an event
due to insufficient numbers, in which case an alternative
date will be offered or if no alternative date can be arranged
in a reasonable timescale then a full refund of monies paid
will be made. We shall have no further liability to you.
13) The Hand Arena does not accept any liability and shall
not be liable for any refunds for non-completion of any
event due to circumstances beyond our control.
Entertainment
and performance
14) In the event that an
artist or performer cannot appear at an event due to circumstances
beyond our control, the ticket holder only will be entitled
to a complimentary drink at the Qdos bar, up to the value
of £2.50. No refunds will be offered in these circumstances.
15) The unauthorised use of photographic and recording equipment
is prohibited.
16) If you experience any problems during the course of
the event, please contact the events manager, general manager
or any other member of arena staff as soon as possible so
that the issue can be resolved prior to, or during, the
event.
General
17) Nothing in these Terms and Conditions is intended to
exclude or to limit in any way any liability which the venue
may have in regard to negligence or for death or personal
injury to any person caused by their negligence, for fraud
or other wrongful act or omission.
18) Under no circumstance will the venue be liable for any
loss, damage, cost or expense, which was not reasonably
foreseeable at the time the ticket was purchased or which
was not directly attributable to any act or omission of
the venue. The venue will not be liable for any loss of
enjoyment or any wasted expenditure in excess of the face
value of the ticket.
19) The invalidity or partial invalidity of any provision
of these Terms and Conditions shall not prejudice or affect
the remainder of these Terms and Conditions which shall
continue in full force and effect.
20) These Terms and Conditions are governed by and interpreted
in accordance with the laws of England (or the laws of Scotland
if you are domiciled there). Disputes arising in connection
with these Terms and Conditions shall be subject to the
exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales
unless you choose the jurisdiction of your domicile in Scotland
or Northern Ireland.
21) Notwithstanding any other provision in these Terms and
Conditions, no person other than you and us, has any right
under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999 to
rely upon or enforce any term of these Terms and Conditions.
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions shall affect any right
or remedy of a third party which exists or is available
other than as a result of the aforementioned Act.
